You’ve heard the sad story of why I haven’t blogged in a while before. The more I thought on this, and the less I was able to get up the drive to blog, made me think that perhaps it was time to hang up my hat*.
*Or my boots, considering I do not often wear hats. But I also do not hang my boots, so I’m not sure either of these idioms are modernly relevant to me.
But I do so love to write about something that isn’t my current WIP*, and I literally do not post anything on social media** unless it is blog related***.
*Work-in-progress
**Lies. I posted a picture of myself on my birthday this year.
Said picture
**Because I wish the foul temptress of social media never ever entered my life and wasn’t a thing that when I choose to cease participating in didn’t ostracize* me from people I love.
*Ostracize in a FOMO kind of way, not an I-hate-you kind of way.
Then I had an idea of how I could steer this ship. It might prove to be a brilliant method of return, or the last desperate hope of someone lost at sea.
Jon’s 30th Birthday Hawaii Trip–the highlight of the past four months
My world has consisted of writing + reading + settling into our new home and so I think I might’ve found a way to incorporate that into blogging.
I have no interest to share what I’m currently writing here. I’m a bit of an over-editor so I would most likely panic with each post that it wasn’t perfect or that it might be misunderstood because, let’s be real, writing is super easy to misunderstand.
So, I thought, why not share what I’m reading, but in a way that incorporates the world around me?
I’ll admit, I have no idea what this means. But I’m going to attempt it, and I hope you’ll stick around for the voyage.
