I have impeccable timing. And I mean that in the most sarcastic way possible.
Exhibit A: June 2007
Accepting a job interview the week of my wedding. In Manhattan. On a day I had an afternoon shift at American Eagle Outfitters. On a day I should have been folding programs or practicing the medley I would sing and play for Hubby at our ceremony despite my fear of singing in public.
The result? Getting a job offer while honeymooning in Saint Thomas and promptly calling my boss at American Eagle to give my two weeks.
Exhibit B: November 2017
Adopting our first dog a week before Thanksgiving, a month before my entire family went on an 11-day cruise.
The result? More bite marks than I could count, a black and blue scrape on my knee, a frantic search for a dog trainer…and all the snuggles I could ever have wanted.
Exhibit C: Present day, November 2019
Deciding to take on a complete blog revamp only two weeks before Thanksgiving.
The result?
Blog notes mixed with my Thanksgiving breakfast notes, more tabs open in Google Chrome than should be allowed, and, a sparkly, updated blog, ready to go a mere handful of days before Thanksgiving.
There is still a lot of work to do, which I may or may not get to before the end of the year, but for now I hope you enjoy the new look. I would love to hear your thoughts, especially from those of you who have been following my blog from its early, not so sparkly days.
