New Eyes for My Phone

I recently purchased a new gadget for my phone and it has been begging to be shared with you. If, like me, you are a lover of new technology*, I’m sure you will be as fascinated as I was with the fact that attachable lenses are now available for phones.**

*And yes, I know, I’m contracting myself considering I wrote a whole post about my love/hate relationship with technology.

**And I am sure I am late to the game on this one. They have probably been around for quite some time now.

In the midst of a new computer search for Hubby, I stumbled upon the Olloclip 4-in-1 Lens. It was on sale for $19.99, and a quick Amazon search told me that even though my phone model isn’t the most recent, this product still retails for $69.99. Being such a steal, I knew I needed to get it.

*I mean, I was practically getting it for free.

My first attempt with it wasn’t too impressive.

But this beauty pretty much photographed itself…

Food trucks are pretty much my favorite thing on earth, but a waffle food truck? It’s the answer to our world’s problems.

This beauty was topped with strawberries, fresh whipped cream, chocolate, and a mango coulis sauce which I could have drank from a glass.

I’m still playing around with the four different lens options (fisheye, wide-angle, 10x and 15x Macro), but so far I’ve been pretty impressed with what this teeny little gadget can do with a simple phone camera.

An iced latte from Small World Coffee and pastries from Terra Momo* in Princeton don’t really need any help to look good, but the fisheye lens did give them an added appeal.

*Try the chocolate brioche!

We just so happened to be in Princeton the day before the university’s commencement. I’m not sure I have ever seen so many chairs squished into one enclosed location before.

I’ll be fooling around with this lens more and more, so if you happen to notice a few pictures on here that look a little different–blame the lens, not the photographer!*

*And if they look different in a good way, blame the photographer!
